Fulton County Arrest Report Scope
Fulton County posts no dated booking archive and no weekly sheriff blotter. The nearest official multi-day view is All Current Inmates. The roster tracks custody. It can show arrest dates reaching well past the recent booking window. Someone arrested weeks ago stays listed until release. Someone arrested yesterday might already be gone after a release, transfer, citation, or posting delay. So the list answers who is held, not who was arrested in a given week. Sorting events by arrest date still works well for chronology. Before declaring a record missing, check a few things. Review name selection and page-size controls. Then check pagination and the total page count before giving up. The first screen is rarely the whole roster.
The official Fulton County current roster displays its custody label, controls, record fields, and photo-slot layout.
The live roster can hold more pages than any capture shows. Use its own controls to search it fully.
Read Fulton Arrest Chronology
A good multi-day search moves backward from custody to the arrest itself. It then moves forward into court. One database never tells the whole story. The roster gives booking-stage facts, while the arresting agency holds the actual report. Court dockets then show where the case went from there.
- Open Current Inmates, enlarge the page size when available, and use the name control or pagination rather than scanning only the first screen.
- Read the arrest date and time. A much older date can still be present because custody continued.
- Note the arresting agency, listed charges, bond, court name, and court date. Treat each as preliminary until checked at its source.
- Look at Recent Releases when the person may have left custody during the last 48 hours.
- Request the agency’s historical arrest report when the roster and release views no longer cover the needed date.
For a single 48-hour question, the narrower Arrested Today page fits better. Arrest Reports serves tracing across several days. It covers older custody, releases, and source records. It also tracks later case action. Note: A name absent from Current Inmates was simply not on that current-custody view when checked.
Fulton Arrest Report Fields
Roster fields can point an arrest report toward the right custodian. They can also run thin. Multiple charges may each carry separate bond or court details. A court field left blank may fill in later. A photo slot can be empty too. Blank data never proves a record does not exist.
| Roster item | Use and limitation |
|---|---|
| Name and descriptors | Name, race, sex, age, and address may help distinguish records, though values can be blank or unknown. |
| Arrest date and time | Places the booking in sequence but does not define how long the person has been continuously held. |
| Arresting agency | Points to the police department or sheriff that may control the incident or arrest report. |
| Charges | Shows charges recorded at booking, which may later be amended, reduced, dismissed, or not filed. |
| Bond | Shows a procedural release term when present, not a judgment about guilt. |
| Court date and court | Provides a lead for docket research; the schedule can later change. |
| Photo slot | May contain an official booking image or be blank; Fulton County promises no universal public photo. |
"Disposition" is the outcome entered in a court case. Examples include dismissal, plea, acquittal, or sentence. It is not the same as getting out of jail. After booking, case records live elsewhere. They sit with the Fulton County Circuit Clerk, the Ninth Judicial Circuit, and Judici. The roster should never be used to guess an outcome.
Fulton Arrest Release Bridge
The official Recent Releases page carries the label "Inmates Released in Last 48 Hours." It explains a common gap. A name can leave Current Inmates. It may sit briefly in Recent Releases and still have an open court case behind it. The view is no archive. It also stays silent on why someone left custody. The reason might be bond, a court order, a transfer, or a finished sentence. The 48-hour window means older releases age out. No Fulton County page says how long the vendor keeps booking cards or images online after release. Agency retention and public web display are separate questions. The official recent release screen provides that short-window context alongside Fulton County arrest reports.
The image records the source label. For a release record that changes daily, the live page is the place to look.
Fulton Weekend Arrest Reports
No official source promises weekend or holiday updates. The roster vendor publishes no minute-by-minute cadence, and the sheriff has stated no daily cutoff. Weekend arrests can surface at different moments. Intake facts, charges, photos, and court fields get processed on their own timeline. A Monday search is useful. It is never a certified weekend total. Start with the event date and agency. Check Current Inmates for continued custody, then the 48-hour release view for a departure. Missing from both? Ask the arresting police department for its incident or arrest record. Canton, Farmington, and Lewistown police pages offer no stable continuous arrest blotters. A municipal event and a county-jail record can differ in timing and in custodian.
News Versus Fulton Arrest Reports
A booking card gives bare facts. News stories add the why. The 25News Now Fulton County section has run Crime & Courts pieces on Canton and Farmington. It also covers task force operations and county agencies. The sheriff's Important Links page points to Canton Daily Ledger, Fulton Democrat, and South Fulton Argus. Any of those outlets might surface an agency announcement. It might also surface a hearing you would otherwise miss. News has limits, though. Coverage is selective. A story can run late, get corrected, or disappear behind shifting site access. Newspapers are not an arrest roster. A photo in an article might be a file image. It could be an agency handout rather than a jail booking photo. Juvenile custody coverage rarely means a public booking card exists. Verify each event with the sheriff or the arresting agency. The regional Fulton County news section shows story-driven arrest coverage, not a complete blotter.
RecentlyBooked is one unofficial local page. It runs a last-30-days format with its own update claims. Treat it as a discovery aid, nothing more. Its Fulton data can sit stale or incomplete. The page has also said Fulton County mugshot images were not provided to it. That hardly means the county holds no booking photos. No other major commercial feed covers Illinois Fulton County, either. Ignore wrong-state Fulton results that surface in searches.
Request Older Fulton Arrest Reports
Once the public windows close, written requests become the path. The sheriff's FOIA process opens the county archive. Fulton County wants enough detail to pin down the record. Give the person's full name, date of birth if known, and the arrest date range. Add the location, the arresting agency, and any report or case number. Say what you want. The options include the arrest report, booking documents, or a booking photo that law allows release of. Release and transfer records count too.

Expect an answer within five business days. Extensions and exemptions can stretch that timeline under the sheriff's FOIA rules. The first 50 black-and-white letter-size pages cost nothing. After that, pages run $0.15 each. That fee is a general copy rule, not a booking-photo tariff. A response may bring redaction, partial release, or denial where law allows.
Illinois arrest-report law calls for specified public information promptly. The deadline sits at 72 hours after the arrest under that same statute. Its conditions and exemptions still apply. That disclosure rule does not create a permanent online blotter. Nor does it force every public field or photo onto the vendor roster.
Note: Fulton County publishes no fixed web-retention period. Ask the FOIA officer for the relevant record rather than guessing from a vanished roster card.
Verify Fulton Arrest Outcomes
An arrest report is only the first chapter. Court records show how a case ends. The Ninth Judicial Circuit Fulton County page points to case searches by defendant name, ticket number, or case number. The Fulton County Circuit Clerk keeps criminal court records at the courthouse, and Judici runs the linked public search. A docket can list hearings and amended charges. It may show a dismissal, a plea, an acquittal, or a sentence. Case numbers appear there too. Check the court file, not just the arrest record.
- Booking
- Jail intake and recording after an arrest.
- Bond
- A court-set release condition or amount, not a penalty or finding.
- Disposition
- The current or final result entered in the court case.
- Expungement
- A court process that may clear eligible records under Illinois law; release alone does not grant it.
